ViaNet was founded in 1994 by Joe McGuckin.  Since then ViaNet has grown from a small office on Pear Avenue in Mt. View, California, providing internet access to start up companies in the Linux development community to a regional ISP serving customers in the greater San Francisco Bay area and Los Angeles.  ViaNet’s fiber connection to the Palo Alto Internet Exchange (PAIX) allows it to offer customers a network that is fast and reliable.
